Wow, already 2011 is coming to a close. I would like to take this time to wish each and
every one of you the warmest wishes for a wonderful holiday season. All of us on the PTO
know that none of the things we do would be possible without the support from all of you.
Your kokua is what gives us the ability to support the school with programs, supplies and
equipment.

      The net profit from the Entertainment Book fundraiser was approximately $24,000.00.
This year set the record for selling the most books in the history of 'Ike. Good job everyone!!
In order for us to purchase one Apple computer for each classroom, we will need to raise
approximately $54,000.00. With our other school support we do, we may only be able to
purchase a 1/3 of the computers requested. The PTO will see how many computers are
feasible for this year and fundraise again next year to obtain the rest. We will keep you all
posted on the progress we make.

      By now you may have received a QSP magazine packet. Many parents have been asking
me about doing the magazine orders since it is the only way to obtain the magazines at such
a discounted rate. The ordering is great because you can do it online or by sending them into
the school. Either way gives you the chance to catch up on all your reading. All orders must
be submitted no later than November 30th. We hope you enjoy acquiring orders from friends
and family who would love to renew their current subscription or start a brand new subscription
at great discounts. I know I saw several magazines I haven't renewed in such a long time.f
